Resin treatment is more than drying and curing. ION Meccanica combines slab handling, thermal processing and automation within one integrated natural stone resin line.
Natural stone resin treatment involves much more than drying a slab and curing the applied resin. The quality of the finished material depends on the correct coordination of loading, moisture removal, preheating, resin application, settling, curing and unloading.
ION Meccanica develops integrated resin treatment lines for marble, granite, quartzite and other natural stone slabs. These systems help reinforce fragile materials, fill natural cracks and cavities, and prepare the slabs for subsequent polishing and surface-finishing operations.
Depending on the project requirements, an ION Meccanica resin line can combine automatic loading and unloading systems, slab-handling equipment, drying and preheating ovens, resin-application areas, settling and gelification units, controlled curing systems and production automation within one coordinated process flow.
Every natural stone factory operates under different conditions. Stone characteristics, slab dimensions, resin type, required production capacity, automation level and available factory space all influence the correct line architecture. For this reason, ION Meccanica resin lines are not based on repeating a single standard layout. Each system is configured around the actual production requirements of the plant.
Depending on capacity and process needs, a line may incorporate GRAVITON static tower ovens, POSITRON cyclic drying and curing systems, automatic slab-handling robots and different numbers of process towers. The objective is not simply to add more equipment, but to achieve the correct balance between drying capacity, resin-application time, curing performance and slab movement.
Successful resin treatment also requires more than high temperature. Uniform airflow, controlled slab temperature, effective moisture removal, appropriate residence time and careful material handling all contribute directly to the quality of the final result.
