MANTA-L

MANTA-L is an automatic tilting system designed to transfer marble, granite and other natural-stone slabs from A-frame storage supports onto a horizontal processing line. The robot approaches the slab stack and tilts its loading table towards the selected slab. The vacuum frame then extends until the suction cups contact the slab surface. Once the required vacuum level has been established, the slab is separated gradually from the remaining stack, returned to the horizontal position and transferred onto the integrated roller conveyor. The suction cups are distributed across the vacuum frame to provide balanced support over the slab surface. The frame moves forwards and backwards between the rollers, enabling controlled slab engagement and separation while reducing the risk of impact or surface damage. The vacuum system, rail travel, tilting movement and slab-transfer sequence are automatically managed through a PLC-based control system incorporating sensors and an integrated operator interface. MANTA-L is suitable for marble, granite and other sensitive materials requiring controlled handling during the transition from vertical storage to horizontal processing.
